The LaGuardia Center was originally built as a munitions depot turned warehouse manufacturing space turned department store warehouse. In its last transformation it was developed into a 120,000 square foot retail center including multilevel parking and the aforementioned 70,000 square feet of shopping area. Herbert Rose’s ability to tackle most jobs in-house has eliminated the need for subcontract and save both time and money for the project. Bringing LaGuardia Center up to area standards was an enormous undertaking but Herbert Rose used its variety of employees: roofers, masons, plumbers, pavers, and other workers to complete the development which included steelwork, plumbing, sprinkler systems, masonry roofing and the foundation for the project.
