When performing work on a landmark building, there are specific guidelines that must be followed. And that was the case with this 12-story luxury building with a host of roofing and waterproofing problems. The Herbert Rose, Inc. staff first removed the quarry tile deck in the penthouse and the deteriorating roofing membranes and replaced them with a Johns Manville 3C ID, 20-year no dollar limit roofing system. Then they added a masonry paver system that provided an aesthetically pleasing, waterproof roof surface.

 

The Hebert Rose team also replaced some of the parapet walls, repaired the structural steel beneath the rooftop water tank, and installed copper leaders and gutters.
